Serendipity

Today, I decided that I needed some time to sit and just be. I've been working hard on practicum and internship applications and some writing projects, and I felt overloaded. Well, class seemed to be the easiest thing to let go, so I decided not to go today. But, then I got an email, and class was cancelled because the prof is sick.

I think there have been 3 cancelled classes in the past 5 years of my graduate life. :) And now I can still skip another day.

Nicole,

I checked out your blog. I am in graduate school too. :) I enjoyed perusing your musings. :)

Hey, if you're looking for a good, well-paying internship (and don't mind moving to the great plains), let me know. The one here in town is very good, and there's a history of at least one student from your program coming here.

Not sure of the technical term, but in my house, we call this a Mental Health Day. Enjoy.

Welcome, April and Mrs. G. !

Steve, I wondered if you knew anyone out that way at the sites I was looking at. The one I think you're referring to was on my list, but got cut in our desire to stay within the eastern half of the U.S (and to keep the application list to less than 20 sites). I so appreciate the offer. And if that changes, I'll be sure an let you know. Hope all is well with you, your wife, and your boys. :)
