Have either of you recently been hit in the head? If so, call emergency services! If not, you may be having a psychotic break induced by the shows you've mentioned. Shut off the tv and seek psychiatric help, preferably not eachother. :)
Did you check to make sure the "SAP" button on your remote wasn't pushed? As I understand it, that button will broadcast the television show in Spanish, if the service is available in your area. That happened to me once, and drove me crazy until I figured it out.
